What does "internet without TV" actually mean?

Only Internet (also called a "naked" internet connection) is standalone internet delivery: just the connection, no TV decoder and no attached TV subscription. That doesn't mean worse internet. It means you stop paying for a service you don't use.

Who is internet without TV a good fit for?

Streamers. If you only watch via Netflix, YouTube or a streaming app anyway, a bundle has you paying twice: once for the TV package, once for the streaming service you actually use.

Renters and movers. Not keen on an annual contract for a place you might leave in eight months? Only Internet doesn't require a long-term commitment.

Remote workers and freelancers. A fixed IP address and an open network come in handy if you need to log into a server remotely, run a VPN, or host something yourself.

Do I still need to take out a TV subscription?

Can I still watch TV over the internet?

Yes. Services like Netflix, YouTube and other streaming apps work fine over your internet connection. You don't need a separate TV subscription from your provider for that.

What speed is available at my address?

Do I have to use a CheapConnect modem?
